Hedley Robert Burrows (15 October 1887 - 27 October 1983〔'' Deaths '' The Times Saturday, 29 Oct 1983; pg. 20; Issue 61676; col A〕) was an Anglican cleric in the 20th century, who rose to the position of Dean of Hereford. His father and son were bishops. ==Life== He was educated at Charterhouse and New College, Oxford and was ordained in 1912.〔“The Clergy List” London, 1913 London, Kelly’s, 1913〕 His first post was a curacy at St Peter’s, Petersfield after which he was a temporary World War I Chaplain.〔“Who was Who” 1897-2007 London, A & C Black, 2007 ISBN 978-0-19-954087-7〕 Following this he was Priest in charge of St Columba’s, Argyll,〔”Scottish Episcopal Clergy, 1689-2000” Bertie, D.M: Edinburgh T & T Clark ISBN 0-567-08746-8〕 Domestic Chaplain to the Archbishop of York〔(National Archives )〕 and Warden of the Dock Street Mission, Southampton. He then held incumbencies at Stoke Abbott and Portsea, Portsmouth. Later he was Rural Dean of Cleethorpes then Bournemouth.
